About Bryan:

Bryan was called to the ministry at age 18 and like so many he hesitated to answer the call and began a life in the corporate world.  He worked for five years in the family business he was born into, before deciding to leave and begin a new life.  In 1994 he then went to work with a friend and became the VP of Administration assisting in expanding the company into a multimillion dollar company within two years with twenty-two offices nationwide.

During this time Bryan discovered he was hypoglycemic and began to get back into the gym and get his health in order.  All the while, his family was suffering and missed him greatly due to the hectic travel schedule his VP position demanded.  After a series of events, Bryan with his wife and two small children moved back home to Sylacauga, AL and began to get life in order.  During this time, Bryan found himself to be financially broke; family broke, and spiritually broke.  Through this entire course of events God began to speak and Bryan was ready to listen.  On November 15th,  of 1995, everything in Bryan’s life changed.

In January of 1996, Bryan yielded to the call on his life and began a bi-vocational career of personal training and children’s tween ministry.  Working with the tween ministry of the church God moved and numbers increased to record numbers and hundreds of kids came to know the Lord.  As a fierce competitor in 1997 Bryan won his first AL State Championship in power lifting.  The following year he won the State and Southeastern NASA , drug free championships and set 3 Southeastern records. He proceeded to win his division at the National Championships three times over along with the AL State and Southeastern Championships again.  During this time the Lord continued to prepare and groom Bryan and his wife, Laura, for full time ministry.

In August of 2006, Bryan left a high paying position as Director of Personal Training with Gold’s Gym and accepted a position with the Scott Dawson Evangelistic Association and became full time in ministry.  God used this time as a great training ground for Bryan.  During his stint as Director of Safe At Home for Scott Dawson, Bryan directed, promoted, and assembled events ranging from a few hundred in size to over 18,000 and witnessed  thousands come to know the Lord.  The opportunity was given to consult, pray with and for thousands of pastors and ministers nationwide.  He has stated on numerous occasions that the friendships, influence, and leadership he gained from building these relationships were irreplaceable.

In July of 2008, God moved in both Bryan and Laura to begin a new work.  After much prayer, FootWash Ministries was founded.  Since then God has moved in some wonderful ways.  Bryan and Laura have been married for 22 years and have two beautiful children.  Presently, Bryan travels preaching and teaching the gospel message of Jesus Christ (which is his passion) , teaching and hosting leadership workshops, and conferences, and is the founder of the Facebook Ministers Association which presently host over 1600 members.  The mission statement of FootWash Ministries states that "We exist to expand the gospel modeled after the servant heart of Jesus Christ."  This is truly the heart and passion of the ministry.  Bryan's personal motto is, "Serving Christ by Serving You."

Most recently his book “Ok, I Believe What Next?” the abbreviated edition has been published.  An expanded edition with forward written by Rick Burgess of the Rick and Bubba show, will be released in 2010.   On March the 25th of 2009 the first podcast “The Basin Broadcast by FootWash Ministries” hit the internet airwaves.  It is available for FREE download and subscription through iTunes.  Ark Buddies a new children’s book series created by Bryan has been completed and we are presently seeking a publisher.  From our website 1000’s of FREE resources are now being created and made available to churches and other ministries worldwide.  During the past year God has used FootWash Ministries and Bryan Taunton to bring over 1000 individuals to the salvation knowledge of Jesus Christ.    Presently, FootWash Ministries is about to release the “Salvation App” for iPhone, iTouch, and iPad users.    This is the first application of its kind and is an extremely large resource with collaboration from individuals and ministries such as Josh McDowell, Dr. Patrick Morely (Man In the Mirror), Scott Dawson, The Fixed Point Foundation, and others.  All glory for all FWM accomplishments is given to God the Father and it is our distinct privilege to be His tool of ministry in these efforts.
